An exhibition of artists from Australia, Asia and the Pacific who examine the relationship between cloth and the body by using textiles in conjunction with the body or in performance. The body and ideas of embodiment are key conceptual concerns for many these artists who utilise or make reference to textiles in their practice.

Cornucopia profiles works artists who utilise food and flora as an artistic medium or point of departure. What we consume, how it’s produced, and how it arrives at our table are realities of our every-day lives. Cornucopia touches on many of these themes: from food miles and sustainability to famine, genetic modification and the consequences of globalised production. The exhibition also explores cultural and religious food traditions.

This exhibition collectively explores portraiture, the social body and the presence of the female form in multiple states – physical, ephemeral, altered, morphed and transformed.The title Video oediV infers notions of reflection within the exhibition. Vatanajyankur is represented by a selection of works including The Carrying Pole and The Scale 2 (2015), The Basket (2014), The Ice Shaver and Poured (2013) and Soaked (2012).

Kawita Vatanajyankur's The Carrying Pole is on display in the new, second 'Small Screen' dedicated to single channel works located at Screen Space. The performance video focuses on the female body, exploring the relationship of women to both daily domesticity and labour.
