Trent Parke is the only full Australian member of the internationally renowned Magnum Photo Agency. He is considered one of the most innovative and challenging photographers of his generation.
His series Dream/Life & Beyond presents a dramatic and mysterious portrait of Sydney’s city life. They poetically capture the shards of natural light and harsh shadows cast by a skyline of high-rises and evoke the feeling of being alone amid a bustling crowd.
